The Tra La Las

We will be kicking off the Stratford Garden Festival at the opening party Thursday March 1st, 2012, as a fundraiser for the Lung Association of Ontario. It is a 4 day festival which you can attend for $9 and kids 12 and under are free.  Check their website (Stratford Garden Festival) to see info on speakers talking about things like growing food on your property, growing figs, growing vegetables in small spaces, and other flowery fun!  

We are working on a show when Adam returns in March as a fundraiser for Books to Prisoners KW. Stay tuned! Some other radical musicians will be joining us hopefully!

We are on hiatus until February. Laura and Emily and Adam are busy with their Masters programs and Adam is on a little bit of a jailcation (Find out more at www.conspiretoresist.wordpress.com)

We aim to perform in Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, and maybe Montreal in Spring. Until then you can buy our CDs at The Silver Spoon in downtown Kitchener, and soon also at Rare Funk and Seven Shores Cafe.

Our newly recorded EP ‘Fight The Tide’ will release Friday October 7th at the Queen Street Commons, Kitchener.

The Tra La Las will be heading over to the roaring metropolis of Peterborough to play a backyard show with amazingly talented singer-songwriter pianist/guitarist Clara Hilts. The band unanimously agrees that Clara is the best singer of everyone.

Friends, we are very happy to officially announce that the most incredible drummer we know, Adam F. Lewis, has joined The Tra La Las. This pushes us over the edge from sugar-folk to BADASS sugar-folk-rock. We are extremely excited and you are too. Here are some fun photos of Adam to prove his Tra La La-ity (see pink beaded sweater) and badassery (see biking in left lane). And that he is actually a drummer.

The Tra La Las are on a retreat in St. Jacob’s! Today we went to the St. Jacob’s farmers market and busked until it started pouring rain. Don’t you like our new updated website? We do. The Courage My Love show at the Silver Spoon was packed and lots of fun. Thanks to everyone who came out.

We are very excited to be playing a show with the mega-talented punk pop band Courage My Love, at the Silver Spoon, 217 King St E, Kitchener, Thursday June 9th, 7:30pm. $5 or Pay what you can. This is currently the only show we have booked in Kitchener-Waterloo and they are an incredible band! Come have ice cream!
